This is a sweater that I made for my neighbor’s daughter. They have saved us so much money by lending us her clothes for our daughter. The mom picked out the yarn and the pattern. I made this sweater in the 24 month size with the following pattern changes:
- I changed all the garter stitch borders to seed stitch.
- I eliminated the drawstring in the hood and changed the edge from a sewn down edge to a seed stitch edge.
- For the arms: I decreased as directed to 35 stitches, then knit 3 rounds, decreased evenly in the next round to 28 st, changed to smaller needles and knit 5 rounds of seed stitch before binding off.
Finished dimensions:
- Chest: 26″
- Length: 15.25″
- Arms (underarm to edge): 8.75″
This is a better picture of what the yarn actuallylooks like.

Very nice site.
