Happy Thankgiving
November 24, 2006 by Kristina
My apologies for being a day late with this. I have been having some internet issues the past few days. All is better now, and I am finally able to access this site again.
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful day. Lots of food and friends. My husband had to work, so I invited a couple of his coworker’s families over to spend the day. We spent the afternoon cooking together and then spent most of the later afternoon and evening eating. Not a stitch of knitting was done, but we laughed, chatted, put the kids to bed and then watched Grey’s Anatomy.
So what were you thankful for this year?
My son was thankful for his school.
My daughter was thankful for her bread. Seriously, when I asked what she was thankful for, she said, “bread”. The girl likes her bread.
What was I thankful for? This year, I was thankful for the same thing that I was thankful for last year. If I had to guess, I suspect I will be for many, many years to come. I am thankful that 1 year, 3 months, and 27 days ago (as of yesterday) my husband survived a horrible car accident while at work. In fact, not only did he survive an accident that could have (and some would argue that without an angel working some overtime for him, would have) killed him, he walked away (okay, was wheeled away in a stretcher, but later that night- after a couple hundered stitches - walked away) with a concussion and a severe facial laceration. To this day, he does not know how he got out of that car, and at this point, it really doesn’t matter. He is here, and that is all that is important. And for that, I am, and forever will be, thankful.
oh, and btw - my apologies for that horrible run-on sentence in that last paragraph!
